Temecula, CA – Bicyclist Killed in Highway 74 Crash

Temecula, CA (April 7, 2024) – The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a deadly accident involving a bicycle. The crash took place on Saturday, April 6th just after 5:00 p.m. on Highway 74 near the Taylor Street intersection.

Initial details are limited, however, police say that the rider was struck by a car and suffered critical injuries. When rescue workers arrived, they pronounced the bicyclist dead at the accident scene. The rider’s identity was not immediately released and there is no information on whether anyone else was hurt as a result of the accident. The circumstances surrounding the crash have not been revealed at this time. The road was closed while the crash was investigated and drivers were told to find alternate routes of travel. An investigation is underway. No further information has been released.
