Corona, CA – Fatal DUI Crash Reported on 91 Freeway near 15 Freeway

Corona, CA (April 30, 2024) – The California Highway Patrol was called to the scene of a fatal accident in Corona on Monday, April 29th. The crash was reported around 12:30 a.m. on the Riverside 91 Freeway, just east of the 15 Freeway.

According to police, a suspected drunk driver in a Lincoln collided with the rear, passenger side of Toyota 4Runner. The driver of the 4Runner sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the crash scene. The driver of the Lincoln was identified as a 24-year-old resident of Santa Ana while the occupant of the 4Runner was not identified. Following an investigation, the Lincoln driver was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Police continue to investigate the crash at this time. There is no further information available.
