Chula Vista, CA – Mark Darulis Killed in Motorcycle Crash on East J Street at I-805 Fwy

Chula Vista, CA (May 20, 2024) – A 68-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash that occurred in Chula Vista on May 18.

Police were dispatched to the at East J Street near the Interstate 805 Freeway. According to a report, Mark Darulis was riding his motorcycle when he collided with a Toyota Corolla that was disabled in the northbound lanes. Darulis suffered critical injuries and was later pronounced dead at the accident scene. There were no other injuries reported and no one else who was involved in the accident has been identified. The driver of the Corolla has not been identified. Police closed the road while they investigated the crash and cleared the scene. There is no word on whether any charges will be filed at this time, and no further details are available on the investigation.
