San Diego, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Crash on Home Ave. near Gateway Dr.
San Diego, CA (April 1, 2024) – A woman was killed in a San Diego pedestrian accident on Sunday evening, March 31st. The crash happened at the intersection of Home Avenue and Gateway Drive.
According to a report from the scene, a 52-year-old woman was walking eastbound across Home Avenue when she was struck by a northbound Honda SUV. The female pedestrian was rushed from the scene to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the Honda, identified only as a 32-year-old female, was not injured in the crash and remained at the scene. Police closed the road while they investigated the accident. Motorists were advised to avoid the scene and to find an alternate route of travel if possible. There is no word on whether any charges will be filed.
