San Diego, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Crash on Home Ave. near Gateway Dr.

San Diego, CA (April 1, 2024) – A woman was killed in a San Diego pedestrian accident on Sunday evening, March 31st. The crash happened at the intersection of Home Avenue and Gateway Drive.

According to a report from the scene, a 52-year-old woman was walking eastbound across Home Avenue when she was struck by a northbound Honda SUV. The female pedestrian was rushed from the scene to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the Honda, identified only as a 32-year-old female, was not injured in the crash and remained at the scene. Police closed the road while they investigated the accident.
