Riverside, CA – Two Students Struck by Vehicle on Magnolia Ave
Riverside, CA (February 2, 2024) – Two students from Romona High School were ejected across the roadway after being struck by a vehicle Friday morning, February 2. At approximately 8:15 a.m., the Riverside Police Department was called to the scene of a crash on Magnolia Avenue.
According to official reports, two high school students were crossing the roadway in a crosswalk in front of the high school, located at 7675 Magnolia Avenue. For reasons unknown, a vehicle traveling eastbound on the roadway struck the two female pedestrians. One of the victims was lifted off the ground and thrown approximately 40 feet. The victim came to rest on the roadway near Cortez Street, landing underneath another vehicle. The second student landed on the far right side of the intersection, approximately 60 feet from where she was struck by the vehicle. Both victims were injured in the crash. The two victims were rushed to area hospitals for emergency care. The driver of the vehicle, an adult male, was transported to a local hospital for observation. Investigations are underway.
