Miramar, CA – Joaquin Jimenez Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Hwy. 1

Miramar, CA (May 28, 2024) – A 28-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash that occurred in Miramar on Saturday, May 25. The accident happened around 5:45 p.m. on Highway 1 near Mirada Road, just north of Half Moon Bay.

According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, Joaquin Dominik Jimenez was riding his motorcycle on Highway 1 when he collided with a pickup truck under unknown circumstances. Rescue crews arrived at the scene and provided lifesaving treatment, but ultimately, Jimenez succumbed to his injuries. No one else was injured in the accident. Police shut down both directions of Highway 1 for approximately four hours. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and to find alternate routes of travel if possible.
