Fallbrook, CA – Four Dead, One Injured in Crash on State Route 76 at Horse Ranch Creek Rd.

Fallbrook, CA (May 12, 2024) – Troopers with the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a fiery, three car crash in Fallbrook on Friday night, May 10th. The accident took place around 11:15 p.m. on State Route 76 near Horse Ranch Creek Road.

According to a CHOP report, a silver Chrysler 300 was traveling eastbound on SR 76 when the driver veered left of center and collided head-on with a westbound Jeep Gladiator. A Toyota Camry, also traveling westbound, sideswiped the Jeep after the initial collision. The drivers of the Jeep and the Chrysler suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Two passengers in the Jeep also died at the scene. A third passenger in the Jeep was transported to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. There is no word on whether any other injuries were reported. No one involved in the accident has been identified at this time. Police remained at the scene for six hours while they investigated the crash and cleared the area. Motorists were advised to find alternate routes of travel if possible. An investigation is underway at this time. Anyone with information on the accident is asked to contact the California Highway Patrol. There are no further details available at this time.
