Lake Balboa, CA – One Dead, One Hurt in Two-Car Crash on W. Saticoy St.

Lake Balboa, CA (February 20, 2024) – Police in Lake Balboa were called to the scene of a two-car cash on Tuesday, February 20th. The accident happened around 9:40 a.m. at 17300 West Saticoy Street.

The Los Angeles Fire Department and the Los Angeles Police Department were dispatched to the accident scene. According to an LAFD report, a car and a pickup truck collided with one another. The pickup then left the road and struck a commercial building and a natural gas meter before coming to rest. A natural gas leak occurred as a result of the collision. One of the motorists involved in the crash suffered serious injuries and died at the scene. A second victim was extricated from her vehicle and taken to a local hospital with undisclosed injuries. No one involved in the crash has been identified. There is no word on the cause of the accident or whether any charges are expected to be filed in connection with the accident.
