Temecula, CA – Woman Struck, Killed on Northbound I-15

Temecula, CA (March 1, 2024) – The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a deadly pedestrian accident on Friday morning, March 1st. The crash was reported just before 5:00 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 15.

According to a report from the California Highway Patrol, a 23-year-old woman was Murrieta was driving a Honda Accord in the northbound lanes of the highway. The woman lost control of her car and left the road to the right. The Honda struck a CalTrans fence and collided with an embankment before coming back onto the highway. The vehicle came to rest facing the wrong direction in the middle lanes of the road.

The woman exited her car and was struck by a vehicle driven by a 38-year-old man from Oceanside. The Oceanside man remained at the accident scene. Alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the collision. No one involved in the crash has been identified at this time. Police are still investigating and it is unknown whether any charges are expected to be filed. No further information is available.
