Santa Ana, CA – One Killed in Crash on 5 Freeway at State Route 22
Santa Ana, CA (June 8, 2024) – The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a fatal crash in Santa Ana on Saturday, June 8. The crash was reported around 3:40 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway near State Route 22.
According to officials, the collision involved a gray sedan and a black sedan. The two vehicles collided under unknown circumstances, with the gray sedan blocking the left lane and the black sedan coming to rest on the right shoulder. Rescue crews pronounced one person dead at the scene, while a juvenile was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. There is no word on whether anyone else was hurt due to the crash.
