Miramar, CA – Two Killed in Three-Vehicle DUI Crash on I-15

Miramar, CA (March 17, 2024) – Two people were killed in a multi-vehicle suspected DUI crash in Miramar on Saturday, March 16th. The accident was reported around 2:45 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 15, near Miramar Way.

According to a report from the California Highway Patrol, a Honda Civic was traveling northbound when it collided with the back of a Toyota 4-Runner driven by a man from San Diego. The Honda was then hit by a Chevrolet Colorado driven by a Sun City man. Two passengers in the Honda died at the crash scene. The driver of the Honda, a 25-year-old man, and the Colorado, a 22-year-old man were both found to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash. The drivers were arrested and were taken to the San Diego County Jail. The road was shut down for approximately three hours while police investigated the collision and cleared the scene. The names of the deceased victims were being withheld pending family notification. No further information has been released at this time.
